The Yorkshire Dales are to the west and the North Yorkshire Moors to the east. Only a few miles north is the lovely market town of Thirsk where the World of James Herriot can be found.

Thornton Lodge Farm Thornton Lodge Farm offers secluded ground floor accommodation which has been developed from the conversion of farm buildings adjoining the main house. There is a private entrance for guests and the rooms are easily accessible by wheelchair (graded level 2 accessibility). Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, television and a full beverage tray.

There is a sunny south facing conservatory linked to the bedrooms which is solely for our guests’ use. It has views of the gardens, pond and open fields beyond and is a wonderful place to sit and plan your day’s activities or unwind with a cup of tea after a hard day’s sightseeing!

Our award winning full English breakfast is served in the conservatory and includes some of the finest local meats and freshly laid eggs from the farm hens.
